Shocking video shows hunter threatening to ‘fuck kill’ animal rights activist charging at him on horseback

Shocking footage has revealed the moment a hunter threatened to “fuck kill” an animal welfare activist by charging him on horseback.

A disturbing clip shot while hunting Wynnstay near Malpas, Cheshire shows an unnamed rider aiming his mount aggressively at 32-year-old Shaun Santa on Saturday (January 7).

On the tape, the rider could be heard saying, “F*ck off. It’s my fucking job. Don’t fucking do it anymore or I’ll fucking kill you – you hear me!”

Cheshire Monitors volunteer Shaun feared being ‘trampled’

< p>when a huge foal ran up to him as he tried to scare the fox away from the hounds.

But he only realized the rider had made death threats shockingly after he later reviewed profanity in the footage.

Shaun said: “It was a bit of a panic. I tried to stay as calm as I could in the situation. It all happened very, very quickly.

” I thought a horse was going to hit me. I thought I was going to be trampled. It was coming towards me very fast. I stretched my arms out in front of me.

“No, I don’t even think about it. I was just in a bit of shock. It wasn’t until later that I thought, “I’m sure he’d say he’d kill me,” and I watched it again, and he did.< /p>

He added: “It was surprising that a hunter who had never said anything before or interacted with me suddenly exploded like that – I was like, ‘Jesus, what the hell!’

Shaun said he was on duty as a “runner” with the Cheshire Monitors group when he was apprehended by a hunter just after 1pm on Saturday.

He said: “The dogs could smell.

“My job when I’m in the field is to stop them from obviously catching that fox and getting between the hounds and the fox.

“I ran with the dogs, walked through several fields, and then the dogs caught a hare. That’s when I said in the movie, “Leave it.”

“The hare jumped out and the dogs started chasing the hare and then he fell over and rode on me saying he was going to kill me.”

Shaun, who was unharmed during the incident, said he was surprised the hunter reacted in such an aggressive manner.

He said: “We often experience these things in the field.

“They are advised not to interact with Sabs because they may in fact be incriminating themselves. I’ve been making Wynnstay for a while and he’s never said a word to me.

“So it was a bigger shock than anything else, the fact that he broke his pledge of silence.

“Of course he’s very annoyed with what I’m doing – I’m preventing him from hunting the way he wants.”
