UPDATE 1/25/2023: Justin Roiland Has Also Been Cut From Hulu’s Animated Series Solar oppositeswhich he co-created, starred in and produced, as well Koala man, in which he was executive producer and voice actor. 20th Television Animation, which produces both shows, previously had a deal with him, but that ended. In a joint statement, Hulu and 20th Television Animation told Yahoo Entertainment, “We have ended our relationship with Justin Roiland.” Both programs are expected to continue.

Just over a week after Justin Roiland, co-creator, executive producer and star Rick and Mortyappeared at a pre-trial hearing to face domestic violence allegations, Adult Swim says it no longer works with him.

“Adult Swim has ended its relationship with Justin Roiland,” a network representative told Yahoo Entertainment.

She added that the animated hit will continue, and the show’s official Twitter account says the same.

Yahoo Entertainment reached out to Roiland’s lawyer for comment.

When news of the case broke, his attorney T. Edward Welbourn told Yahoo Entertainment, “It’s hard to overstate how inaccurate recent media coverage of the situation has been. To be clear, not only is Justin innocent, but we also have every expectation that this case is to be dismissed once the District Attorney’s Office has completed its methodical analysis of the evidence. We look forward to clearing Justin’s name and helping him move forward as quickly as possible.
