Who will host this year’s Oscars?
Comedian Chris Rock will not return to host after last year’s controversy, with chat host Jimmy Kimmel taking over the proceedings this time around.
The academy should be in good hands with Kimmel as he previously hosted ceremonies in 2017 and 2018.
He is also the old host of the Emmy Awards which he hosted in 2012, 2016 and 2020.
Will Chris Rock and Will Smith attend the Oscars?
It doesn’t look like Chris Rock will be returning this year as Kimmel is taking over as host this year.
Will Smith will also not be returning to the Dolby Theater as he had to resign from the Academy due to last year’s fight.
Smith was barred from attending all Academy functions, including the Academy Awards, for 10 years as a result of slapping Rock.
