It seems like yesterday that young Apple Martin was introduced in her mom Gwyneth Paltrowshoulders in huge headphones at the Live 8 concert in London’s Hyde Park.
But fast forward to 18 and the eldest child of a Hollywood star and Coldplay Chris Martin she is now sitting front row at the Chanel haute couture Spring Summer 2023 Paris Fashion Week show.

Apple’s look—a plaid minidress and matching cardigan in Chanel’s signature bouclé tweed—reminiscent of her mum’s look from 2005, when she was also on a roll at Chanel when the late Karl Lagerfeld was at the helm.

Fashion journalist Derek Blasberg commented on Apple’s appearance at Chanel Twitter.
“Karl Lagerfeld met Apple Martin when she was four and declared that one day she would be a Chanel girl,” he wrote. “Today it happened!”
Last year, proud mum Gwyneth paid tribute to her teenage daughter on International Women’s Day.

“I spent the morning thinking about all the amazing women I love, who love me so much,” said the Goop boss.
“I keep thinking about the women I’ve known since kindergarten or 7th grade who are in my life more than ever. But today I want to pay tribute to one (technically almost) woman who is on the doorstep.
“This woman gives me hope for the future of the sisters and for the future of our planet. And that woman made me the woman I am today more than anyone else.”
