Hugh Jackman Says Director Bryan Singer’s X-Men Behavior ‘Wouldn’t Happen Now’

Hugh Jackman commented on the infamous conditions created by disgraced X-Men director Bryan Singer.

Singer directed Jackman in the first three X-Men films and has since been accused of sexual assault and rape by multiple men, which he categorically denies.

– said the star of Wolverine Guardian in an interview promoting his new film, Sonthat things happened on set that “wouldn’t happen now”.

When asked if the accusations against Singer had tainted the film’s legacy, Jackman replied: “You know, it’s a really complicated question. There are many things at stake there.

“X-Men was a turning point, I think, in terms of comics movies, and I think that’s something to be proud of. And there are certainly questions that need to be asked, and I think that they should be asked. But I guess I don’t know how to answer that elegantly. I think it’s complex, and ultimately I’m proud to look back on what we’ve achieved and what momentum it has taken off.

Comprehensive 2020 report Hollywood reporter characterized Singer’s on-set behavior as “erratic and disruptive”, partly due to his drug use.

Stories about Singer’s behavior were told by Jackman Guardian: “It was my first film in America, you have to understand; everything was so new to me.”
