Prince Harry claims William “jumped on him and used Diana’s secret code” after an interview with Oprah

Prince Harry reportedly claimed his brother William “jumped” at him and “grabbed my shirt” during a confrontation over Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Meghan Markle.

Details of their altercation, which allegedly took place at Frogmore Cottage after Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021, have been shared in Harry’s leaked memoir Reserve.

Portions of the book written by the ghosts were later published by the British press Reserve was accidentally put up for sale in Spain on January 5 – five days before the official release date.

In one such passage, Harry reportedly wrote how he and William clashed during peace talks to address the fallout from his and Meghan’s sensational interview with the US broadcaster in March 2021.

The then Prince of Wales Charles was also allegedly present.

Harry wrote that he tried to address Meghan’s allegations of bullying, but Charles and William “didn’t listen”, Sun reported.

William allegedly “really steamed” and shouted at him, “You never came to us. You never came to me.

According SunIn the report, Harry also claimed that William told him to take care of any complaints he had about breaching the “Megxit” deal “with Grandma” – referring to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

He said: “I waved my hand, disgusted, but he rushed, grabbed me by the shirt. “Listen to me, Harold.”

The prince continued: β€œI pulled back, not wanting to look him in the eye. He made me look him in the eye. – Listen to me, Harold, listen! I love you, Harold! I want you to be happy.'”

Harry, 38, claimed to have replied, “I love you too… but your stubbornness is remarkable.”

After Harry broke free from William’s grip, the new Prince of Wales reportedly “caught” him again and tried to make eye contact with him.

“Harold, you must listen to me!” I just want you to be happy, Harold. I swear, I swear on mummy’s life,” William reportedly said, referring to their late mother, Princess Diana.

Harry wrote: “Stopped. I stopped. Dad stopped. went there.

β€œHe used a secret code, a universal password. Since we were boys, these three words were only meant to be used in times of extreme crisis.”

William “wasn’t quite ready to accept defeat”, he quotes Harry in his book, adding that his brother told him he “felt sick and sick, respectively, after everything that had happened”.

“I swear to you now on Mommy’s life that I just want you to be happy,” Harry quoted him.

Harry added, “My voice broke as I told him softly: I really don’t think you would.”

Ahead of Harry and Meghan’s broadcast of Oprah’s interview, it was reported that the Duchess of Sussex “facing a complaint of bullying from one of her closest advisers during her stay at Kensington Palace” in 2018.

According TimesAccording to the report, the complaint was filed by the couple’s communications secretary at the time, Jason Knauf.

A Sussex spokesman vehemently denied the allegations of bullying at the time.

Harry also claimed that William physically assaulted him during a confrontation about Meghan at Nottingham Cottage in 2019.

Kensington Palace did not respond Independent’s request for comment at this time.

Prince Harry’s interviews with ITV’s Tom Bradby and CNN’s Anderson Cooper to promote the book will air on Sunday (January 8).
