Ursus, Tignes – pierre-marie gaury

Gourmets visiting Tignes will be happiest in Val Claret, where most of the restaurants are located – the exclusive Ursus has been awarded a Michelin star. Tignes Le Lac and Les Brévières also have good options for families, as well as more refined restaurants.

Hearty Savoyard cuisine can be enjoyed in the mountains, and at the top of the Grande Motte cable car is Le Panoramic, overlooking the recently awarded Michelin star Vanoise National Park.

Panoramic

The waiter service restaurant at Le Panoramic at 3,032 meters at the top of the Grande Motte cable car is filled to the brim with sheepskin rugs – on the chairs and even used as curtains. The chef is Jean-Michel Bouvier, whose son, Clément Bouvier, took over Ursus at Hotel Les Suites in the city for the 2018/19 season. Following its Michelin star award in January 2021, it is the highest starred restaurant in the world. We recommend hot cream cheese in a box with boiled potatoes and lettuce or an XXL burger with grilled foie gras, marinated onion, bacon, tomato and lettuce, served with homemade fries.
